Dylan earned his bachelor of architecture with a minor in studio art from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2022. Rundle has exhibited in over twenty solo and group shows regionally, including KINK Contemporary, the Sandusky Cultural Center, and the Cleveland Public Library. His work has been published by local and national outlets like Dezeen, AD, and Cleveland’s Canvas Magazine. Rundle has served as a guest critic at the Kent State College of Architecture and Environmental Design, and featured in School's student run publication, ko|AD. Since 2018, he has worked at a variety of design practices, specializing in analog and computer graphics, creative direction, and parametric design technologies.

Rundle’s artistic and design work are rooted in the same process, communicating spatial concepts in a graphic fashion. Motivated by curiosity and awe, his drawings serve as a form of instruction: diagrams for how to think, documents for how to build, and perspectives for how to feel. His drawings aren't so much about what they are materially, but rather, what they might become if they manage to inspire further action. Dylan’s work is a means of remaining hopeful for a future where architecture is still a vehicle for goodness, at a time when contemporary practice largely feels sterile. Expressive architecture relies on the sum of its parts - like a theatre or symphonic production - and requires a miracle amount of collaboration and endorsement. For this reason, Rundle’s work exists in multiple states: independently as drawings, models, and writing, or integrated with regional funds and craftspeople to fully realize places that are imbued with poetry, craft, and meaning. Slowly returning our built environment to a feral, imaginative state will require the unification of all artistic disciplines; building collective power not only for ourselves, but for everyone.
